Leslie Nielsen, who was my favorite actor (despite the thousands of insults he received from the film snobs) for years, has died of pneumonia at the age of 84.
A hero, an icon of worship, internationally renowned star and recipient of the admiration of nerds around the world, Leslie Nielsen has left this world leaving a legacy of laughter and absurd unforgettable moments, the hilarious star of such films as Naked Gun series (which I became a fan of his), Airplane, Spy Hard, Dracula Dead and Loving It, and others undoubtedly remain in the hearts (and molars ) of its fans for generations.
Whether as Frank Drebin, Dick Steele, idiot version of Uncle Ben, or the president of the United States, Nielsen is a comic legend, no doubt.
